Need a book cover, illustration, poster or logo?

Märka design will help you with anything graphics-related! We take great care to involve the customer to ensure that the result fits the project at hand, and to create a visual appearance that is both representing the project and aesthetically pleasing. With our contacts with an environmentally certified printing house we can offer everything from initial sketches to finished products.

When creating the graphic style we use the topic or ideas of the project to create stylized images and use them as graphical elements and decor, often combining our interest in science and technology with our skills in graphic design. This is perhaps most obvious in logotypes and book covers, often graphical representation of an idea, combining symbolism and esthetics. The projects are often science related and the graphics is inspired by science and geometrical shapes and patterns.

Märka design is run by architect and graphic designer Katarina Eriksson and is based in Lund, Sweden. She got her M.Arch. at the Faculty of Engineering (LTH), Lund University, 2008, and an M.Sc. in Space Studies at the International Space University (ISU) in Strasbourg, France, 2010. The same year, she interned with planetary scientist Dr. Chris McKay at NASA Ames Research Center in California. Since then she has worked with a number of things related to space and design, including being involved with the ISU Space Studies Program, facilitating space design workshops and graphic design projects. Katarina started Märka design to focus on graphic design, with the space industry and the science community as special target groups.
