Cassini caught in Hyperion’s electron beam

Illustration showing how the Cassini satellite got caught in an electron beam from the surface of Saturn’s moon Hyperion, originating from the terminator line. This is the first time this has been seen anywhere else but our own Moon. The illustration was made together with PhD student Tom Nordheim and Geraint Jones for a study by  Nordheim at Univeristy Collage of London, UCL. Cassini is a joint project between ESA, NASA and Italian ASI. 2014
